On March 23rd, 2023, the Tanzania Prisoners Hope Foundation (TPHF) Chairperson, Mr Lucas Mwimo, visited Ukonga Prison in Dar es Salaam to donate mattresses on behalf of the organization. The visit was a continuation of TPHF’s efforts to improve the living conditions of inmates in Tanzanian prisons.
The donation of the mattresses is part of TPHF’s ongoing efforts to improve the living conditions of inmates in Tanzanian prisons. In addition to counselling services and educational materials, TPHF believes that basic amenities such as mattresses are essential for the well-being of inmates and can contribute to their rehabilitation.
Mr Mwimo emphasized the importance of giving back to society and encouraged other individuals and organizations to support TPHF efforts to improve the lives of prisoners in Tanzania.
